Dr. Mark's resources, plans, videos and now his book are musts for new and experienced runners. New to running in late 2016, I've learned from the school of hard knocks and have experienced the common injuries that arise from poor running form. Run for your Life - brings everything together in an easy to understand and follow format. It's easy to see Mark's passion and the willingness to freely share the knowledge he's accumulated over a career of running and helping people. In the past few months, I have made a focused effort to follow the advice that Mark offers and will continue to do to. I have done away with built up shoes, working my way towards a minimalist shoe and I'm working on my strength and mobility. I am excited to see how I progress as a runner and the Freedom's Run marathon is on my radar. Thank you Dr. Mark - please know that your work and advice is greatly appreciated - even all the way up here in Canada!

I've long been a fan of Mark's "Principles of Natural Running" video on YouTube, so took the first opportunity to purchase Run For Your Life. Am only a third of the way through so far but loving the focus on fascia and drills. It's clear that the world's best runners don't have huge calves or quads, running on elasticity not brute force.

Great book and one that everyone needs to read, more than once. Nice to have all the things I have read and heard from Mark all in one place as well as having the website as a resource to see much of the info that was read.

This book is destined to be a classic. It addresses all of the fundamentals not only for running but also for living a healthy, active life without being on a handful of pills every day. Dr. Cucuzzuella is careful to only give recommendations that are backed by good scientific evidence. I absolutely loved the book. Couldn't put it down. Getting ready to read it again and start working on my drills.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but Mark distils some heavy duty science in plain English as well as justifying why we should change not only our running style into a far more efficient one - but ways of making it fun and enjoyable too! I love the mobility and stability drills, the focus on injury prevention and ensuring we can stay pain-free and healthy when running long distances - the information on how much sedentary time we are undertaking and how it is one factor increasing the risk of chronic lifestyle disease was great to see too. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wishes to run recreationally or professionally.

Dr Mark Cucuzzella has been an inspiration not only to me but to Army Soldiers and our community of runners since we opened our natural running store, in 2012, Georgia Game Changers Running Company modeling it after Marks store, Two Rivers Treads. As a physical therapist and running coach/educator, I have used several of Mark’s videos and training methods to train others. His book will now be another tool I can recommend as a more comprehensive outline of how not only to run better, but to LIVE better!!! My patients and our store customers as well as local Army Soldiers are already familiar with Dr Mark’s philosophy. This book provides a wonderful ‘front row seat’ to how Dr Mark thinks and lives out his daily life. I love how his mission goes beyond influencing runners, but rather takes this philosophy to local communities and to people of all ages—a way to live life to the fullest!!! Dr Mark truly lives out this lifestyle on a daily basis and his book captures his passion! I love how he emphasize his posture, as I am known to my patience as the “posture queen“ Posture Truly influences all that we do and his book makes it perfectly clear! I will recommend this book too many and take it with me as I go out to educate those in our community!

As a practicing Sports Medicine physician, I wish all of my patients would take the time to read this book. Mark has decades of experience, both personally and professionally, and provides his invaluable wisdom to not just to runners of all levels, but anyone--regardless of how sedentary they might be. The drills and corresponding videos provide easy ways to work on transitioning to a healthier movement pattern. I would highly recommend the book to anyone looking to increase their physical activity in the safest, most efficient manner possible.

Once I opened Mark's book, it was hard to put it down! Mark has a unique gift of breaking the complex science down into easy-to-digest bits of information and super helpful, practical tips for everyday life and running. There is so much wisdom buried in these pages, and I’m grateful for the knowledge that Mark so freely shares with everyone to make running fun and enjoyable again! No matter what level or speed you are, if you consider yourself a “runner” to any degree, then I highly recommend that you read his book! The personal experiences that he shares throughout the chapters are inspiring and educational. As an extra bonus, the scientific research that Mark uses to back up his information is well-established and adds an extra, deep layer of meaningful content!

Mark has been an inspiration for me for many years. Through him I've got introduced to natural running, correct toes, the impact of correct posture, the Trueform Runner (proud owner since 2014) and many other things which helped me to stay injury free (though a bit on the heavy side with 198 lbs) and migrate over a couple of years from heavily cushioned shoes to Xero Sandals and shoes. Many thanks for that! Mark's book compiles all of the above in a jump starter that hopefully will inspire many more people.

Mark is an inspiration to many for keeping fit and healthy. He has helped countless youth with his programs locally. This book will help people of all ages nationally. Mark lives and works in the most obese state in the US. He is a beacon of hope and health in a challenging environment.

Mark is one of the people who has changed my approach to running, health and wellness. While we became acquainted first through running, I've learned so much about the importance of the 'whole person', encompassing not only the mechanics and physiology of running, but also the impact of diet. He is a truly altruistic person, who seeks nothing more than to see people leading active lives, free of medication and the co-morbidities afflicting too many of us today. Having proof-read Mark's "Run For Your Life', I would recommend it to anybody looking to get back to basics and run injury and pain-free.
